I picked up this quirky SFC cart for next to nothing. It turned out to be a surprisingly fun little top down run and gun that won't win any awards for innovative gameplay but has bags of character and is perfectly accessible to a westerner. I beat it on easy using Gundam and will probably go for the :C: by beating it on Normal.

I beat Tales of Phantasia today to make it four down six to go. I found parts of it enjoyable and it was technically impressive for a SNES game although it started to drag on like most of these RPG's do towards the end. They tried a little twist in the ending but I generally find that none of these highly rated RPG's can hold a candle to the Quintet games when it comes to philosophical 16 bit storytelling.

This victory also takes me to 50%/50% in terms of beaten/unbeaten Snes games. The next one to fall will put me into the lead!

3. Finish Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy (another one that has gone on too long)

6. Spend less on Amiibo (bought around 25 in 2015, shouldn't be hard)

So far I'm doing not bad with my goals. Layton and Pheonix Wright are done, currently have beaten more games than I have bought, only bought 2 Amiibo, and I believe I'm at 3-4 PS4 games finished.

I need to beat one more game I've never beaten before, get two platinum trophies, make up 11% more PSN level progress, and beat The Wind Waker.

There's a lot of synergy between these goals. I effectively only have to beat The Wind Waker and then get the two trophies. Honestly, building up the motivation to boot up the Wii U is going to be the hardest gaming accomplishment I face for the rest of the year.
