After playing through 3D All stars I had to go back to Odyssey to see the natural progression of the games. Fantastic game as always, and this playthrough supplanted the game as one of my favorites. Last couple playthroughs I just got enough moons to beat it, this time I went for 500 to unlock darker side. I gave up pretty quick in that level, but still glad I went for the extra moons because there's a lot of awesome stuff post game.

Also spent a good amount of time with Luigi's balloon world to get all the costumes they added via updates. Actually a pretty fun mode!

Super Mario Sunshine HD - This game is fantastic however trying to 100% it is hell. Some shines just suck and the blue coins are really stupidly hard to find to the point using a guide basically saves you hours upon hours since some coins and locked to a certain mission. Otherwise I loved it.

Pokemon Black - I found the story cool and it was pokemon. I think it would have been a lot cooler on launch however after playing shield it does feel bland at times.

2/8 - Garou: Mark of the Wolves (PSN [Arcade])
2/17 - Makaimura for WonderSwan (WonderSwan)
3/3 - Bust-A-Move Pocket (Neo Geo Pocket Color)
3/7 - Luigi's Mansion 3 (Switch)
3/10 - Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition (PSN [Sega CD])
3/22 - Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4)
3/23 - Dragon Quest (Switch [NES])
3/26 - Panzer Dragoon: Remake (Switch)
4/4 - Doom 64 (Switch)
4/21 - Tearaway (PS Vita)
4/24 - Rocket Knight Adventures (Genesis)
5/1 - Streets of Rage 4 (PSN [PS4])
5/20 - Bare Knuckle III (Steam [Mega Drive])
5/21 - Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (GameCube)
5/23 - Forza Horizon 3: Horizon Hot Wheels (Xbone [DLC])
5/26 - Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Xbone)
7/2 - Star Wars Episode I: Racer (PSN [N64])
7/5 - Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (Switch [Wii])
7/11 - Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line (Switch [NES])
7/16 - Virtual Boy Wario Land (VB)
7/26 - Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation (Switch[NES])
8/10 - Gate of Thunder (VC [TGCD])
8/26 - Battletoads (Xbone)
9/4 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater [HD Remaster] (PS4 [PS1])
9/4 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 [HD Remaster] (PS4 [PS1])

10/4 - Maximo: Ghosts to Glory (PS2)
10/12 - Super Ghouls'n Ghosts (SNES)
10/30 - Goku Makaimura Kai (PSP)

I think I have a new favorite GnG! This JP-exclusive retooling of Ultimate Ghosts'n Goblins strips out the RPG and collecting elements to deliver a straightforward GnG experience. I think it's better for it, and it's probably the most reasonably balanced and fun GnG game. It is by any metric still a very difficult game, but it never feels unfair in the ways most of the previous games did. It gets two hearty thumbs up from me. Great Halloween choice.

Decided to boot up hollow knight again and I'm glad I did, just as great second time around. I think this is probably my favourite metroidvania. Incredibly non-linear, oozing with lore and secrets, and it plays excellently.

First run I beat the game with 83%, this time 101%. Got to discover a lot more of the dlc and main content content that I had never seen before. Finished with all mask and soul upgrades, all grubs, fully upgraded nail, and only missing three charms.

I am no Godmaster, that's for sure! I was able to beat a lot more bosses/content this time around with good charms and nail upgrades, but Godmaster and Nightmare Grimm are beyond me!

Pokemon Shield: The Crown Tundra - I enjoyed this one a lot more than the Isle of Armor however I still felt the story was average and just felt like a list of chores to catch legendries. I also found it very frustrating that I couldn't catch
Spoiler
Calyrex
without becoming champion. I literally did the whole story then was told I'm not strong enough right before the encounter was a huge let down since it was marketed that you could play from the start.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Wow is this game really hard to rate. I bought it day one finished the tutorial area then basically got no where. The game gives you very little guidance and was very difficult with so few hearts or stamina everything seems to one shot me and important things were never explained to me. I never knew you could upgrade your item space leaving me with little wriggle room for weapons in which they all broke so quickly. I didn't even know you could get a horse walking was so slow and simple things like this would have made the game a lot better in the early stages. I ended up dropping the game until 2019 and picked it up when streaming again and had chat help me + the odd guide which helped way more however the frustration with weapons and dying was still there. I stopped streaming and dropped the game again but recently picked it up and finished it off and I must say I really enjoyed the last part of the game. Having better weapons and better gear made exploring fun instead of feeling like a weakling that just insta died constantly. I think the games core is fantastic but has huges issues with difficulty spike. I basically never died after beating 2 beasts. The difficulty is basically the opposite of what it should be. I really shouldn't have to throw 15 hours into a game to start enjoying it. Onto the good stuff though I really like how open the game was and the choices I had unlimited bombs and the other powers were a really nice touch. Shrines were fun even if I still missed the larger dungeons from old games. I also know I've barely scratched the surface of the game.

I always wondered what playing the game would be like for someone who never knew you could upgrade your weapon compacity. They push it on you on several key sections of the game but still realivitely easy to miss.

I really loved the difficulty in the beginning of the game, and I actually think the beginning of the game is botw at its best because of it.

1001% agree with this, except that I didn't find the beginning of the game all that difficult. Scrounging for weapons and using hit & run tactics on early enemies is amazing.
