Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round of 32!
Each game is seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools. Every game in the Upper Bracket has defeated multiple other games in 1-on-1 polls to get to this point. These are still the best of the best.
Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!
HOW TO VOTE
This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Re: TOP 32 — Poll 4 of 16
Breath of the Wild is great, easily my favourite 3D Zelda, but even that level of enjoyment doesn't measure up to the masterpiece that is Final Fantasy VI. A strong and popular contender for the best Final Fantasy game (although it's not my personal fave), and a real contender for the title of best RPG (alongside compatriots like Chrono Trigger (although it's not my personal fave)). Makes it a relatively easy vote for me here.

Re: TOP 32 — Poll 4 of 16
I like Breath of the Wild a lot, but FF VI is just a massive leap forward for JRPGs. It's phenomenal how much complexity and storytelling went into this game. Each half could have been an entire game in and of itself, but instead they are part of one sprawling game that, despite how huge it is, never feels disorganized or fragmented. The cast of characters - and their individual stories - are as diverse as you could ask for and the gameplay is just as varied, giving you tasks as disparate as performing in an opera, sneaking into an enemy base and navigating a three-part dungeon with three different teams (twice!). If this game had been made in 3D, with all the hype and promotion of FF VII, FF VII wouldn't have the reputation it has.
And that's not even getting into the music, which may be the best the series has ever had.
