Jedi Survivor was fantastic - I'm really impressed with how much they were able to expanded on the original in terms of scope, character abilities and side content. At times the game reminded me of Prince of Persia meets old school Zelda. Loved the combat, loved even more that I could adjust the difficulty whenever I want.

Finally got all the latest beats up to date on the blog. Liberation Maiden and Crisis Core are the highlights here (even as dumb as the latter is, I liked it). The Peach game is fine but definitely targeting a younger audience to an extent that it makes the proceedings a bit boring. Plumbers is Plumbers. It's bad, but I had to experience it.

Rebirth is the next main event on my plate, but I have a couple shorter games I'm nearing the end of that I'll probably try to knock out before I get to it.

After years and years of intending to, I finally beat the last cup of F-Zero on Master difficulty and got that sweet farewell screen. My many hours in F-Zero 99 made it a breeze to return to and knock out!

Animal Well was a good like metroidvania(?). The abilities you find are pretty unique, likely due to there being essentially no combat in the game. Cool vibes, lots of secrets. More than I'll ever uncover!

Mega Man on GB is pretty solid! Controls well and sounds good. Short game, but fun to run through.

Phenomenal remake of a phenomenal game. The level design doesn't always hold up compared to modern entries, but the game still comes together as a fantastic whole. A fee appreciated QOL updates for this remake, as well as completely redone music. Never thought I'd see this game remade like this!

Penny's Big Breakaway is an ambitious, interesting game from the Sonic Mania folks, but I ultimately didn't love it. Kolibri, meanwhile, was surprisingly enjoyable.

Mario vs. DK is a classic from my childhood. When the remake was announced I didn't feel it was super necessary, but nonetheless it's cool to see a small game like this get a great coat of paint.

The game itself is still pretty simple - puzzles not requiring a whole lot of thought until very very late in the game. I appreciated the two new environments to fill out the adventure a bit. The game is still pretty short though - which I actually like. But I think they should have added a level editor, seems like a no brainer. Maybe they didn't want to compete with Mario Maker?

For the most part I really like the remixed music, it's probably my favorite "new" feature. They gave everything a really jazzy touch giving this game a unique style.

Great to get back to Elden Ring, the DLC itself was great. Nothing groundbreaking, just more Elden Ring which I can't complain about. Final boss was ridiculous.
