October Gaming - Be Very Afraid
Re: October Gaming - Be Very Afraid
Fwiw I have made a tiny bit of Visage progress but I seldom play it. And I haven’t touched Fatal Frame 3 in many months…the setting where I’m at in that game is disturbing. But I’m in! I hope to beat Visage at some point in October or November. I seriously doubt I’m going to platinum it, though…
I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.

I posted about this in tonecord but thought I'd note here as well that I never really played much Visage this month. It's quite disturbing, but, also, it's not a good time in my life to add extra stressors. Just trying to stay positive. That said I did try the insane run in Outlast 2 a few times this month. Doesn't take long but damn that mode is difficult. I don't know if I'll ever beat it. But it's fun to try sometimes.

The Mummy didn't grab me right away, but as is my October tradition, I'll come back to it in November and December and clear it then.
Instead, I played through Howl, which I summarized a little bit in the game clears thread. It's a nice little turn-based puzzle tactics game where you have a few abilities up your sleeve and you have to navigate a grid of dangerous monsters. You usually have to beat each stage twice: once for a clear within the set turn limit, and once for a more comprehensive run where you kill all the monsters. I didn't find this detracted from the game as some critics apparently did, but rather made the puzzling a little more satisfying, since you have to look for two solutions to each puzzle, or, if you're good, find a way to do both in one run.

I'm arriving late to this, but I think this year I shall be playing Phantasmagoria with the goal of finishing it by Halloween or shortly after. We'll see if that happens!

Never played the game but I've seen the trailer below back in the days. It was on another games CD (KQ VIII or 7th Guest, can't remember):
Enjoy playing!
