Found DKCR for under $50 in Japan which was low enough for me to bite. Ended up being a great game to play and the end of the day and on my flight home. Tropical Freeze is still much better if not solely for the music, but the level design still holds up well in this one.

A playthrough of DKCR isn't complete without a playthrough of DKCTF! Didn't go for all the extra levels this time as I just did that with DKCR, but played enough of the game to see what a jump it was between the two games. Again, the music really helps it to stand on its own.

April was dominated by Suikoden II, a long RPG that I hadn't fully completed before, so it took me even longer. And the Suikoden remaster compilation platinum requires completing both games, so that got logged in April as well. Trip World was a nice little palate cleanser after my long string of retro RPG completions.

Picked up Pokemon Pearl for cheap in Japan - it was fine, as expected. Never played gen 4 before so that was neat, interesting to get some reverse nostalgia for Legends Arceus.
