Re: Amiibo
Pre ordered Toon Link and Mega Man online today, Ike was all sold out *grumble grumble.
I really like the look of Bowser, but I'm hoping there will be a sale on Amiibo's one day where I can pick up the ones I don't feel I need to get.

Pre-ordered Mega Man today. There are others that I'll grab from wave 3 but I pre-ordered the ones I think will be hard to get later on like Sonic, Shulk and Mega Man. Don't wanna face another struggle to find Pit scenario.

Re: Amiibo
Well, prior to their release, I told myself I'd only get Captain Falcon and leave it at that. This is because there's so little F-Zero merch in general, and I love the character.
Now I have two Captain Falcons (one to keep boxed indefinitely). I also have Fox, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, and Luigi.
To be fair, two of those were gifts, but still. I've found myself roped in.
In the future, I'm only really probably gonna buy Jigglypuff and Mega Man. We'll see if I can stick to that.

Same situation with me, once I started getting them I just wanted more and more. I have Yoshi now, though it was a gift thankfully.Claytone wrote:Well, prior to their release, I told myself I'd only get Captain Falcon and leave it at that. I must say the Yoshi Amiibo is great though; 3D model looks awesome and the colours make it pop.

Re: Amiibo
They're up for pre-order it seems, but sold out everywhere, just like Ike. Hopefully I get another chance to grab him and Shulk :/Spore wrote:Where the Dedede's at?

Screw that. I ain't preordering or shelling out scalper prices for a figurine with an NFC tag in it. Even if it is God King Dedede. The Shoemaker wrote:They're up for pre-order it seems, but sold out everywhere...[/img]Spore wrote:Where the Dedede's at?

Re: Amiibo
So as for the actually functionality of Amiibo's go, I've been training mine a bit in Smash Bros. My Mario tuned out God tier, I don't know what happened but I haven't been able to beat him in a long time. He fights incredibly aggresive and uses his cape better than a bull wrangler. He fights much better than a CPU, even though he is more humanist and doesn't perfectly predict your moves to shield. Even though I don't win, it's much more enjoyable to fight my Mario because he fights like me.
My other Amiibos didn't turn out as great, and it's all because of Samus. Basically I was training Samus on the Donkey Kong stage where there's a foreground and background to fight on and the whole time we were both jumping around trying to reach the barrels. I guess Samus learned that the key to victory is to keep jumping so from then on Samus would just jump around the entire match. Well I ended up pitting Samus against my other 2 Amiibo's and now they learned from Samus to never stop jumping. So basically I have Mario kicking ass and the other 3 jumping around endlessly trying to run away

Re: Amiibo
Here are the new Super Mario Amiibos
Funny how Bowser is almost in the same pose as the Smash Bros. Amiibo. I'll get Toad, and maaaaybe Luigi just because I didn't care for the Luigi Smash design. I don't like the red stands they're on, that'll clash with the black stands the Smash ones have.
EDIT: Also nice to see they got rid of all the plastic garbage the Smash Amiibos used to hold the characters up.
