Re: Amiibo
I got Wario and Jigglypuff. That puts my collection at those two plus Captain Falcon (one boxed, one opened), Diddy, Little Mac, Luigi, Fox, and Bowser. For someone who originally only intended to buy Captain Falcon and Jigglypuff, I've now got the beginnings of a hoard.
I'll probably end up buying the entire Super Mario series too, just because Mario is my very favorite video game series, and I'd love to display them all somewhere in my sort of barren room.

Interesting that you can adjust the pose of Game and Watch! Also, ROB comes in a NES colour palate in NA and EU, but a Famicom colour palate in Japan. I kind of want a Mii amiibo, but I dislike how generic the Smash Mii's look. Plus the point of a Mii is to have one that looks like you. I'd pay $30 for a custom Shoemaker Mii Amiibo.squishy wrote:Some new Amiibo announced on sunday. No date given yet but they include Falco, Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B. and Duck Hunt. Re: Amiibo
Would you pay something like $70 for one? I can see this being a service they'd offer (in fact, it seems like a no-brainer), but it'd have to be a fair markup over the price of a normal amoeba. The Shoemaker wrote:Interesting that you can adjust the pose of Game and Watch! Re: Amiibo
It would definitely need to be marked up, more of a pipe dream than anything because of the multitude of options between Mii faces. $70 would be too much, but I'd consider $50. Maybe the best way would be to make it like Game and Watch where you could swap out pieces like the Miii's hair eyes and nose, then sell a small package full of miscellaneous Mii parts to customize your Amiibo.Kong Wen wrote:Would you pay something like $70 for one? A couple other Amiibos leaked yesterday, I think they might be spoilers for Nintendo's conference tomorrow so I'll see if they pop up there before posting.

Re: Amiibo
Picked up a Lucario today! Toys R Us had a restock of a bunch of Amiibo's like Little Mac, Fox, Captain Falcon, Villager, Marth and Wii Fit Trainer, but by the time I got there only Lucario's were left.

Re: Amiibo
So I'm late into this amiibo thing, because there's only recently been any announced that I'm interested in (Yarn Yoshi, Isabelle). How do I find out when they are released and stuff? And what's this hullabaloo about stock shortages?

Re: Amiibo
Yarn Yoshi Amiibo's launch on October 16th, along with the game in NA. For EU, the game and amiibos launch this month on June 25th. There's also a bundle for the green Yoshi with the game. If anyone does live in EU though it seems like there might be a shortage of these Amiibos because a portion of them were destroyed for some reason.pdSlooper wrote:So I'm late into this amiibo thing, because there's only recently been any announced that I'm interested in (Yarn Yoshi, Isabelle). Animal Crossing Amiibo's come out this holiday along with Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival. You can get the game bundled with two Amiibos and some cards as well.
The shortages are generally for the Super Smash Bros. amiibos. Characters like Robin, Lucina, Pit, Little Mac, Marth ect are very hard to find, as in you won't find them in stores. Very few restocks, and when they do restock, they maybe give each store like 2 of each. From the Super Mario series Toad is a little rare, and the Squid from Splatoon is a little rare as well because you have to buy it in a 3 pack. The next wave of Smash Bros Amiibos come out in September, and I believe the chibi robo amiibo releases around then as well.
