Are we allowed to vote for collection games, like Mario All-stars? I want to say they should be excluded in favour of voting for the individual titles, but there are collections like the recent XBOX One Master Chief games which include multiple remade games. If I wanted to vote for Halo 2 XBONE version, would I just vote Halo 2?

I think we should exclude compilations since that's kind of against the spirit of the competition. Someone could just vote for Midway Classics! or whatever and try to get like 50 games in there.

If you want to vote for Halo 2 XBONE version, you can indicate that. If the games are similar enough (i.e. if it's just an HD remaster), then we'll probably lump them together and label them as Halo 2 (Xbox 360 & Xbox One) when the competition gets rolling.

Can we have a compilations side poll?

I'm actually quite fond of this idea. Growing up, I was always interested in retro gaming. And while I did what I could to grab and NES, Genesis, and others, the quickest and most money-efficient way for me to catch up with the classics was through various great compilations like Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, Midway Arcade Classics, Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Atari Anthology, etc. Rare has continued that tradition with the excellent Rare Replay recently. I owe a lot of my early gaming breadth of knowledge to such titles. Would love to see some conversation stirred up around them.
