It looks like someone is crowd-funding a new micro-console based on the old ZX Spectrum, called the Sinclair Spectrum Vega. It's ostensibly being driven by the original ZX inventor, but I'm not sure how much merit there is to that claim; basically, it's being designed by a company part-owned by Sinclair. Interesting nonetheless.
It's a shame they didn't try to mirror the original design a little more closely. It kind of looks like one of those handheld Genesis things Sega cranks out with 20 pre-loaded games or something.

Re: ZX Spectrum remake...?
I'd be tempted to get this if the R-Type port were available for it. I've never played that port before but it has always looked pretty solid to me.

Re: ZX Spectrum remake...?
I'm not sure how they could make this more accurate to the original, aside from having a full KB on it, but I presume it's a build intended explicitly for retro gaming? Don't forget how fugly the Spectrum was in the first place.
