Surprised to see one of the weaker pokemon entries here, hopefully it makes no progress

Donkey Kong Country Returns is the second best Donkey Kong game in my opinion but it still got my vote. (The sequel is better!)

Can't say I particularly care for the original SNES trilogy. Have a lot of nostalgia for the first game but that's as far as it goes.

I only voted for Pacman here. I still play it. It managed to be fun yet challenging without growing stale over time.
I never thought I would feel this way, but now I know. Now I know. I never thought I would see things as I see them now, but now I know. I never thought I would hurt so bad, but now I know. Now I know.

Gave a single vote for SSFIV. It is, to date, the pinnacle of fighting games. Pac Man maybe should have gotten some help from me, but Ms. Pac Man really did usurp the original so completely that it's difficult for me to enjoy ol' Mister.

Re: Round 3: The Québec Bracket
Donkey Kong Country Returns was a really solid game. The multiplayer had a good work around too by putting Diddy on DK's back for an section where the going got tough. Lots to do, lots to collection. It was outclassed in almost every way by its sequel Tropical Freeze, but still a very good game. I would probably rather replay this one over the original trilogy.

I voted for Lemmings. Fantastic game, and an interesting mix of puzzle and strategy game.
I also voted for Lunar. This game holds a special place in my heart. I loved the characters and the way the story played out. It did the youth-to-hero trope better than any Final Fantasy game did. And Working Designs crafted a hilarious and charming localization.
My final vote here was for Super Street Fighter IV, so far the pinnacle of an entire genre. Complex and strategic but also eminently playable.

Re: Round 3: The Québec Bracket
The waggle controls from the Wii version of DKC Returns is the only reason I couldn't vote for it. It really soured the experience for me, and I don't feel like double dipping for the 3DS version just to overcome that.
Pac-Man and Super Street Fighter IV were the easy votes from me here. I rounded it off by the amazing Super Mario Land 2. It's amazing not just for a GB game, either. It's a great Mario game in its own right.
