Welcome to the #BGE2020 Elimination Round Lower Bracket!

Each game in the lower bracket is still seeded based on its performance in the two opening rounds of pools! Every game in the lower bracket has already been defeated by another game in a 1-on-1 poll to get to this point. This is their chance to claw their way back into the main event... but the stakes are high. The games that lose in these polls are out of the tournament for good! The games that survive will face the next crop of upper bracket losers in the next round.

Polls are updated weekly, typically on Monday. Check back throughout the week to make sure you don't miss a vote!

HOW TO VOTE

This is easy. You only get one vote per poll. The game with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the higher seed advances, so don't get complacent!

Most people say DKC2 is the best entry, what didn't you like about it?

It's more of this series, less fresh, less focused, has Dixie and more Diddy.

On what planet is DKC1 better than DKC2? Also you could argue that Returns and Tropical Freeze are also better than DKC1.

So with that considered DKC1 is not the only good entry.

Also DKC2 is one of the GOAT and improves on 1 in every single way.

Ironically I voted RE since I think DKC1 is one of the weakest titles in the series.

I even gave reasons and everything!

1. "It's more of this series" — I don't find DKC series gameplay compelling. The characters are annoying. Movement is clunky and sometimes unintuitive, not "tight".
2. "less fresh" — Early graphical style is gimmicky and they more or less continued with it rather than improving. Banana-grabbing barrel-blasting Kong saturation reached very early.
3. "less focused" — adding more worlds/stages, and, most egregiously, more Kongs bogs the games down
4. "has Dixie and more Diddy" — crimes against video games, akin to adding crying baby Mario (in Super Mario World's worse sequel)

DKC2 may be a brighter and louder toy, but DKC1 is a more coherent and cogent artwork.
