Switch Magic-NS controller adapter

Very useful little device let me pair my Xbox one S controller to my switch, wirelessly and play Mario Odyssey and Celeste no problem. Works with PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 (wired), Wii U pro controller etc.

Far more cost effective than buying a Switch Pro controller which would only be used a handful of times

THIS seems to do the same thing more or less and is slightly cheaper. Both models should be available in other regions too

I've been intrigued by this before, but I always had a pro controller, and now I have two as I got one for 70% off during black Friday.

Sounds like a really handy device though.

Does the game need to have pro controller support?

I imagine the game would need to have pro controller support. I'm pretty sure this method would make the controller pop up as a "USB controller" which would then function as a pro controller in game.
